Comprehensive Remodeling and Modernization
We performed a complete bathroom renovation in Silver Spring, MD, replacing a deteriorated shower base and damaged faucet. We installed a new imported porcelain floor, a double sink with new plumbing, and improved lighting with new cabinets and lights.
Work done
In this project, we focused on completely renovating the bathroom to improve its functionality and aesthetics. We replaced the deteriorated shower base and leaking faucet. 1/2″ durarock was installed on the bathroom floor, screwed and glued, and imported porcelain with design was used. We added a double sink, incorporating new copper plumbing and a new drain, as well as new faucets and two medicine cabinets with modern lighting.

Components and Tools Used
To carry out this renovation, we use high quality components and specialized tools. We use MOEN brushed nickel for all faucets, guaranteeing durability and an elegant design. The shower floor was waterproofed with plastic and 2″ thick cement mortar to prevent leaks. In addition, RedGuard was used in all bathrooms to prevent moisture. Waterproof LVT was installed, ensuring greater resistance and easy maintenance .
Safety Steps and Devices
To ensure the safety and quality of work, we follow a meticulous process:
- Controlled demolition: We carefully remove existing structures.
- Waterproofing: We apply plastic and cement mortar in the shower.
- Durarock Installation: We secured the floor with 1/2" durarock screwed and glued.
- Copper Plumbing: We install new copper pipes and drains.
- RedGuard: We use RedGuard to prevent moisture.
- Porcelain installation: We install imported porcelain with design.
- LVT Installation: We install waterproof LVT on the floor.
- Installation of components: We assemble the new sinks, faucets and cabinets.
- Safety testing: We verify the integrity of all installations to ensure the safety and functionality of the renovated bathroom.
